THE PURPOSE OF THE drums COURSES AT MUSIC HOUSE, IT THAT OF ENHANCING THE ARTISTIC AND AESTHETIC EDUCATION OF THE STUDENT, WITH THE INTENT OF DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL SKILLS SUCH AS THE MASTERY OF THE INSTRUMENT, ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCE INTERACTION AND OVERALL EXPANSION OF WORLDVIEW.

THROUGHOUT THE COURSE, THE STUDENT WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES:

Understanding about basic body, hand, grab stick position (modern, traditional)
Rudiment basic single, double, paradidle, and feet.
Reading notes of 1/8, 1/4 on 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 time signature.
Basic pop and rock style

PROGRAM CONTENT

Basic Wrist and Elbow sticking.
Basic Linier Drum with binary and ternary notes.
Reading notes of triplet and sixtplet.
Blues, shuffle and funk style drum.

MODALITY OF STUDY

Open close, baunching finger sticking, feet drum technique
Ostinato drum on feet and hand
Reading with odd time signature
Latin drum style, Jazz
